Froschauer Bible

Froschauer Bible from 1536 (DS-SVTG, Bienenberg). The printer Christoph Froschauer printed several editions of the Bible in Zurich. The comprehensible language of the Froschauer Bible was appreciated by the Anabaptists. The present passages from the Sermon on the Mount with the Beatitudes and on loving one's enemies (Mt 5.43-47) are characteristic of Anabaptist theology.
