Ausbund

Ausbund (18th century, DS-SVTG, Bienenberg). This hymnal was first printed in 1564. In the following centuries it was continuously supplemented and even today it is sung from in the Amish communities of North America. The selected image detail shows some stanzas of a song by Felix Mantz, the Anabaptist who was drowned in Zurich in 1527.
